hahahaha, dear all. the fishes and corals are for real. no edition or photoshopping. now you know why i want to get back to redang asap? it feels like heaven there. no stress. no worries. just plain relaxation and joy.
i love snorkelling 'cause its during snorkelling can i find serene and peace that i wont be able to find in singapore.
i love the people there 'cause they are real friendly. to the extent that you can walk around laguna redang saying HI almost every 5 mins.
i love the sea there. its so blue it looks so fake.
i love the fishes there. its so pretty you feel like staying underwater with them longer.
i love the corals there. they are amazingly pretty.
i love my redang partners. partners oh partners, redang again? promise?
i love everything about this trip.
okay, if you dont mind reading, let me bring you through our 4D3N redang trip expedition!
joc, peishan, shirlyn and i set off for redang on sunday night in our not very comfy coach ride to redang. we had fun gossipping and watching peishan crying. HAHA. watched hancock on the coach and we forced ourselves to sleep.
after 10 hours of coach ride, we finally reached our jetty! waited for the vessel to ferry us over to redang island. it was a 1 hr ferry ride. hail all of us for enduring the 11 hrs of trip to redang!
after reaching the awesome island, we had to go through briefings, registrations and check in.
after all the admin stuffs, we went into our room. joc had a nap while the rest of us caught 夏日的麽麽茶 and singing the addictive, 浪花一朵朵 and 快乐不快乐.
hahaha, now as im blogging, im humming 我要你陪着我，看着那海龟水中游，慢慢的趴在沙滩上数者浪花一朵朵. hahaha! for those who doesnt know what im talking about, 夏日的麽麽茶 (summer holiday) is a movie which setting's right smack in laguna redang. we took some pictures with the more more tea inn. i'll post more of the pictures when i get them from joc.
anyway, after resting for alil' while and the madly many times of singing of the songs, we rented our equipments, sanitised them and prepared for SNORKELLING! my favourite activity now!
as it was our first time snorkelling, all of us got alil' paranoid of the fishes and our first snorkelling wasnt as fun as the later 2. i was so unlucky 'cause i got stung by jellyfish and lo and behold, i think my skin is so thick to the extent that i only felt the pain when i was on shore. the stung felt bumpy and stinging pain. as all of us were amatuers to jelly fish stings, i didnt know i was stung until the next day. HAHAHA.
snorkelled, washed up, made up and dinner time! after dinner, we had a couple of drinks and ice kachang in the pub by the beach and we went to the beach 'club' to dance and get all high. HAHA. after which, we went to look for the blue sand. the blue sand is a phenomenal sight.
come, let me explain how the blue sand comes along. amongst the damn soft and pretty sand, you'll find blue sand. it sparkles in blue and its actually plankton that were left on shore after the tide got lower. it glows blue and when rubbed with friction, the sand will continue glowing in blue. a waste is that it cannot be taken down by camera because of the lil' blue glow.
after walking by the sand, we sat by the beach, chatted and waited for the stars to come out. the people there said shooting stars is very common in redang. but, for the 2 nights in redang, it was cloudy. so not many stars this time round.
the second day was HELLA FUN. we went to marine park for snorkelling in the morning after breakers. the fishes there were awesome and there's this shipwreck in marine park. the 4 of us went to take pictures with the corals under the shipwreck and it was there that shirlyn also got her jellyfish stung and joc got her cut.
hahaha, so after marine park, all 4 of us, esp shirlyn and i, got real paranoid when there were mentions of jellyfishes. and ive no idea why, the whole of the snorkelling lifesavers knew about our madness over jellyfish and started teasing us when we were snorkelling in the deep sea in the afternoon.
after marine park's snorkelling, we went tanning. surprise surprise, the other 3 girls applied suntan oil and i applied sunblock, ('cause im very prone to sunburnt and i know after applying sunblock, i will still get tan) they didnt get tan at all. and im the one turning brown. HAHAHA.
we made a couple of friends over there. lake, matyi and the guy who had to push everyone down the sea to take the pretty pictures. soooo, during our afternoon deep sea snorkelling, matyi brought us around the sea to see amazing stuffs. things that not everyone can see unless you know the people there.
THE SNORKEL TRIP MATYI TOOK US AROUND WAS BREATHTAKING-LY PRETTY. it will forever be etched in my mind.
after afternoon snorkelling, we went back to wash up, made up and prepare for dinner! dinner was good.
after dinner, we went for massage! shiok! after massage, we went to purchase our underwater pictures, mahjonged and went for another night expedition with the 3 new made friends. hehehe, they brought us around the island to look for more blue sand and walk the long beach.
after the walk, we went to another pub by the beach to have our drinks and chit chat. played 5-10 with them and did really silly forfeits. poor lake, got bullied by peishan and had to do more than 10 forfeits. HAHAHA. it was hell fun. we hung out together till 3 plus in the morning as the guys had to wake up at 8 plus the next day for their snorkelling work.
we went back, washed up and concussed on the bed. after breakers, we had to part redang goodbye.
now as im blogging, im missing the fun i had in redang. i promise myself i will go back redang again soon. friends, fishes, corals and sea. i will be back to look for you guys, i promise.
